The visitors centres are distributed in the municipalities of the territory of the Park of the Julian Pre-Alps, and constitute the bases for approaching the naturalistic, historical and cultural aspects that characterise the area. The visitors centre that hosts the Permanent Exhibition of Speleology and of the Carsism of the Mount Canin of Sella Nevea offers visitors a fascinating and interesting perspective on the localities of the surrounding areas and of the underground area.
The area of the massif of the Canin is one of the most sought after international destinations for speleologists and researchers who specialise in carsic phenomenons and the cavities present, of which there are more than a thousand.
The exhibition, located next to the information and tourist office in Sella Nevea, houses in its interior stone and concretionary finds as well as materials and equipment used in speleological activity, thus offering to students and visitors a realistic insight into the geological variety of this area.
