The complex of Villa Manin, property of the autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is one of the region's most significant artistic monuments, and also one of the most well known symbols of tourism and of regional culture.
The centennial history, the grandiosity and the charm of the whole ensemble with its unbreakable tie between the building and the historical garden, contribute to making this residence the most significant example of the culture of the Venetian villa in the region.
The room of coaches (with about ten examples of old carriages) and the ancient armoury which contains weapons originating from all of the continents are permanent museum exhibitions which have been set up in the villa.
The main building of the villa has been a museum for many years. The eighteenth century palace hosts in its precious rooms exhibitions of international breadth side by side with local and regional exhibitions.
