The Museum of the Territory is hosted in a splendid building, and the structure of the exhibition was born from the need to preserve and give emphasis to the important palaeontological, historical and ethnographic patrimony present in this territory.
The palaeontological section, located on the ground floor, is dedicated to the important find of the fossilised tracks of a predator reptile from the Triassic period: the Phytosaur.
Here, one can get know the secrets and habits of this predatory reptile.
The exhibition route, which unwinds through two halls, accompanies the visitor to the places of the Great War. Information panels, a precise and detailed plastic mode of the area of war, and some large prints of Dogna at the time of the conflict offer to the visitor characteristic glimpses of life on the front line.
The ethnographic section, which is located in the second floor halls, develops its content which is tied to the historic, social and environmental reality of Dogna and is also dedicated to the memory of the painter, Fred Pittino of Dogna.
