The Ethnographic Museum of Lusevera, after a long closure due to the 1976 earthquake, has now reopened and is now hosted in the interior of an ex-dairy.
Started due to the wishes of researchers who were members of the Centro Ricerche Culturali (Centre for Cultural Research) of Lusevera, it has been refurnished thanks to the valuable work of the experts of the “Goriški Muzej” of Nova Gorica.
In the first hall is a collection of utensils for domestic use such as scales, crockery and copper pots and pans. Exhibited in the second hall are tools once used by artisans or by farmers for working the fields or caring for animals.
Preserved in the third room are instruments used in the dairy and for dairy production. The objects exhibited, are for the large part, the fruit of private donations, and all originate from the Alta Valle del Torre area.
